AEW Dynamite Results 7/26 - Triple Threat Tag Team Match, PAC Vs. Gravity

Welcome to Rllegends's results for "AEW Dynamite" on July 26, 2023, coming to you live from the MVP Arena in Albany, New York!

A huge Triple Threat Tag Team match is scheduled for tonight, as The Lucha Brothers collide with Best Friends and Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. All three teams will be looking for redemption, as the former two teams came up short in a four-way match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at "ROH Death Before Dishonor" while the latter team found themselves on the losing side of the Blood & Guts match between The Golden Elite and BCC, PAC and Konosuke Takeshita last Wednesday.

PAC himself looks to pick up a win of his own tonight as he collides with Gravity. Gravity has been featured in promotions such as AAA, The Crash, and ROH, and last competed in an AEW ring on the February 14 episode of "AEW Dark", during which he ultimately came up short against Kip Sabian.

The International Championship will be up for grabs, as reigning title holder Orange Cassidy defends against AR Fox. "Freshly Squeezed" agreed to the match last week after Fox's longtime friend Darby Allin asked for it as a means of paying him back for all of the help he's provided him over the years. Speaking of Allin, he was able to secure himself a TNT Championship match against Luchasaurus this past Friday on "AEW Rampage" after he eliminated Swerve Strickland during Royal Rampage. The longtime rivals look to settle their differences tonight as they go head-to-head.

Taya Valkyrie had some choice words for Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and challenged her to a one-on-one match following her victory against Skye Blue this past Saturday on "AEW Collision". Tonight, the two will be squaring off with one another for the first time ever.

Additionally, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole have something on their minds to share in light of winning the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament last Wednesday and earning themselves a shot at the World Tag Team Championship.

We are live! Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone greet audiences at home as Orange Cassidy makes his way down to the ring. AR Fox follows.

Orange Cassidy (c) vs. AR Fox for the International Championship

The bell rings and the two shake hands. They then lock up, going back and forth locking each other in submission holds until Cassidy slides out of the ring for a breather. Fox follows him and delivers a moonsault off the ring post, then tosses Cassidy back in the ring and ascends to the top. He looks for a 450 Splash but Cassidy ducks it and lands Stun Dog Millionaire. Fox fires back with a Mule Kick and a Stunner, then follows it up with a twisting Brainbuster and goes for a pin but Cassidy kicks out.

Back from the break, Cassidy delivers a dropkick to Fox's knee. Fox fires back with a boot, and Cassidy does the same. The two continue to exchange boots before leveling one another with neckbreakers. Cassidy then sends Fox into opposite turnbuckles repeatedly.

The action spills to the outside, and Fox goes flying over the top rope to take down Cassidy. He tosses him back in the ring, then ascends to the top and lands a Senton Bomb. He goes for a pin, but Cassidy kicks out. Cassidy then delivers a Tornado DDT and Beach Break, then sets up for Orange Punch. Fox avoids it and sits Cassidy on the top rope and joins him up there, then pulls him down the hard way. He lands a senton on the apron and a DDT off the middle rope, then climbs back up to the top and looks for the 450 Splash. Cassidy rolls out of the way and pins Fox, but Fox kicks out. Cassidy then manages to pin Fox once more for the win.

Winner (and still): Orange Cassidy

After the match, Cassidy puts his sunglasses on Fox as a show of respect. Fox takes them off his face and breaks them in half, then clocks him with a right hand and quickly retreats in disbelief of what he just did. Darby Allin then runs down and asks Fox what he just did. He says it was an embarrassment for him and tells him to simply take the loss. Fox insists it was a mistake and heads to the back as Allin continues to berate him.

Jon Moxley then appears out of nowhere and delivers both a lariat and the Death Rider to Cassidy.

We then head backstage to Chris Jericho, Don Callis, and Renee Paquette. Paquette says Callis requested time to speak to Jericho, and Callis says he's made arrangements for Jericho to tag with Konosuke Takeshita in a match. Jericho says he's willing to give it a go, and Callis reveals that they will be facing Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara. Jericho becomes unsure of the whole idea after hearing who their opponents will be, but still agrees to participate in the match. Callis then presents Jericho a painting of himself, Jericho, and Bad News Allen.

Back from the break, we head backstage to Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Castagnoli warns the locker room not to mess with Blackpool Combat Club, then tells PAC that Death Before Dishonor was just the beginning. Jon Moxley then walks in and tells Lucha Brothers and Best Friends will pay for PAC's mistake later tonight.

Back at ringside, Tony Schiavone is waiting inside the ring.

We Hear From Jack Perry

Schiavone introduces "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry. Perry then makes his way down to the ring, and Schiavone asks Perry about the negative fan response following his recent win of the FTW Championship. Perry says he beat HOOK, and HOOK went home because he couldn't hang with the big boys. He says when he said he would be winning a championship, he didn't mean the FTW Championship. He says the title he holds was created in a second class company, and despite the fact that it isn't officially recognized, it became a big deal when he captured it. He speaks directly to Taz and says he would've beaten Taz and all his friends back in the day.

Jerry Lynn then marches down to the ring and says himself and his colleagues in ECW paved the way. He says without that company, there would be no "Jungle Boy" and says he's in for a beating if he keeps running his mouth. Perry says he would like to see who would do so, and Lynn drops his mic ready for a fight. Perry backs down and says he isn't dressed for a fight, but challenges him to a one-on-one match next week.

PAC then makes his way down to the ring. Gravity follows.

PAC vs. Gravity

The bell rings and Gravity delivers a series of dropkicks, the last of which sends PAC crashing out of the ring. PAC slides back inside, but Gravity opts to slide out. PAC follows him, and Gravity slides back in. PAC chases him inside, but Gravity slides out. PAC then catches him with a kick through the ropes. Gravity responds by sending him into the barricade and delivering a powerslam to him onto the floor. He follows it up with a Stalling Splash.

Back from the break, we see Blackpool Combat Club watching the action from backstage as PAC delivers a right hand to Gravity in the corner. He charges at him, but Gravity gets his boot up and delivers a crossbody out of the corner. PAC fires back with a pair of kicks to his midsection and sits Gravity on the top rope, then delivers a Superplex. He transitions into the Brutalizer, and Gravity taps.

Winner: PAC

After the match, PAC keeps the submission locked in for a few seconds longer.

We then head over to a video from last week of Renee Paquette, Adam Cole, and MJF after winning the Blind Eliminator Tag Team comment. Paquette asks for their thoughts, and Cole looks to speak. MJF cuts him off and takes several shots at Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler before saying himself and Cole are Better Than Them, Bay Bay.

Cole says he has something to say to MJF, and says while he came to AEW looking for gold, he found something much better: a friend in MJF. Cole says he meant nothing when he grabbed the AEW World Championship, and calls MJF one of his closest friends. MJF then offers a shot at the AEW World Championship after their World Tag Team Match with FTR, and Cole thanks him. An angered Roderick Strong storms in and warns Cole once again. He tells him that MJF will turn on him and gets in MJF's face. Cole diffuses the situation and MJF storms off. Cole tells Strong he has other friends, and tells Strong that he's being possessive. He says he's going to talk to MJF, and Strong tries to stop him by grabbing him. Cole pulls away and heads off.

Back from the break, we head to a video of FTR and Renee Paquette from last Wednesday, responding to MJF's comments about them.

Back at ringside, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana head down. Darby Allin and Nick Wayne follow.

Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Darby Allin (w/ Nick Wayne)

The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth with submission holds before Allin delivers an arm drag. Swerve dumps him onto the apron, and the action spills to the outside. Allin plants Swerve with a Code Red, then tosses him back into the ring. Swerve then rolls back out of the ring, and Allin follows. He sends him into the ring steps shoulder first, then pulls them out of the corner. Swerve uses it to his advantage, and delivers a kick to Allin off them.

Back from the break, Allin delivers a kick to Swerve out of the corner. Swerve fires back with a Brainbuster before the pair take turns rolling one another up. Allin then pins Swerve with The Last Supper, but Swerve kicks out.

Allin spears Swerve to the outside through the middle rope, then tosses him back inside. Swerve rolls back out, and Allin looks to go flying to level him. Swerve catches him with a knee mid-air, then dumps him back inside and ascends to the top. He lands the Swerve Stomp and goes for a pin, but Allin kicks out. Both men then end up on the top rope, and Allin delivers a flipping Stunner. Swerve rolls onto the apron, then ascends to the top. Swerve trips him and ascends to the top rope before getting Allin up on his shoulders and delivering a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Allin looks to get back in the ring, but a hooded figure blindsides him and sends him crashing into the ring post while the referee is distracted. Allin then gets back in the ring and gets caught with the Swerve for the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

After the match, the hooded figure reveals themselves to be AR Fox. Wayne attacks Swerve in the corner, but Fox grabs Allin's skateboard and hits Wayne with it. He then holds up a Mogul Embassy shirt, officially joining the group.

We then head backstage and see Chris Jericho meeting with "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard, "Cool Hand Ang" Angelo Parker, Tay Melo, and Anna Jay.A.S.. Jericho asks Melo how her baby is, and Melo says her daughter is doing great. She then asks Jericho what's going on, and Parker chimes in. He holds his comb out to Jericho and tells him that he gave it to him. He pulls it away from Jericho and says it's not ready to give it back. He expresses his doubts about Jericho. Jay then calls Jericho selfish and says Jericho never appreciated the group despite them appreciating him. She says they can no longer give him 100% before walking off with Jay, Melo, and Parker. Jericho asks them if they think it's easy, and Menard tells him it is. He tells him to figure it out and do it fast.

Back from the break, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. heads down. Taya Valkyrie follows.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. vs. Taya Valkyrie

The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth with submission holds before Valkyrie lands a shoulder tackle and the running double knees in the corner. She fires off stomps, then delivers a pair of chops and a clothesline before firing off elbow strikes.

Back from the break, Baker delivers a series of knees to Valkyrie's head. She sends her into the top turnbuckle face first, then follows it up with a vicious right hand. The pair then go back and forth with forearms before Valkyrie delivers a kick to Baker's head. Baker responds with a superkick and a lariat, but Valkyrie plants her with a Northern Lights suplex. Baker lands another superkick and Panama Sunrise, then goes for a pin. Valkyrie kicks out and Baker calls for the Lock Jaw. Valkyrie prevents her from doing so and delivers a Spear. She then delivers Road To Valhalla, but Baker escapes and conches in the Lock Jaw for the win. Valkyrie taps.

Winner: Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

Best Friends head down to the ring. The Lucha Brothers and Alex Abrahates, and Blackpool Combat Club follow.

Blackpool Combat Club (w/ Wheeler Yuta) vs. The Lucha Brothers (w/ Alex Abrahates) vs. Best Friends

The bell rings and The Lucha Brothers start brawling with Best Friends. Best Friends level The Lucha Brothers with double boots before Castagnoli and Moxley join in the fight. Moxley drags Taylor up the ramp using his shirt and delivers a forearm to him as Beretta and Castagnoli are closely in pursuit. Taylor tosses Moxley off the stage as the two other teams meet them in the area. Taylor then levels all the men and goes flying off the ramp before going after Castagnoli. Castagnoli tosses him into the ring steps and gets in the ring with Fenix.

Fenix fires off chops, but Castagnoli responds with right hands and whips him into the corner. He charges at him, but Fenix gets up his boot and delivers an arm drag off the top rope. He then delivers a double stomp, but is caught with a Pop-Up European Uppercut from Castagnoli. Moxley tags in and jams his knee into Fenix, then delivers a lariat in the corner. Castagnoli tags in and Moxley delivers a Snap Suplex. Castagnoli lands a leg drop and a lariat, but Fenix catches him with a superkick.

Beretta tags himself in and delivers right hands to Castagnoli. He executes a Tornado DDT to Castagnoli off Fenix and follows it up with a Saito Suplex. He delivers an Orange Punch to Yuta, and meets Moxley on the outside. Beretta delivers a belly-to-back Piledriver and goes for the pin, but the referee refuses to count as he is not the legal man. This opens the door for Penta to hit Fear Factor for the win.

Winners: The Lucha Brothers

After the match, Cassidy continues brawling with Moxley. Castagnoli and Yuta look to overpower him, but The Lucha Brothers try to stop it. The three teams then continue brawling with one another as the show goes off the air.
