Every Beat The Clock Challenge In WWE History
December 25th, 2005
Shawn Michaels and Snitsky were the first Beat the Clock challengers on "Raw" to determine who would enter the upcoming Elimination Chamber Match last, making them the freshest competitor. After a series of contenders, Kane — in just 28 seconds — was the first-ever winner and the last wrestler to enter the 2005 Elimination Chamber Match.

The first "SmackDown" of 2008 played host to the second-ever Beat The Clock Challenge match, but this time, competitors were trying to earn a World Heavyweight Title shot against Edge at the Royal Rumble. Rey Mysterio won the fastest time of the night at 1 minute and 29 seconds against Edge himself, earning him a spot to contend for his title.

On "RAW" less than a year later, the challenge returned, with the winner receiving a WWE Championship match against Randy Orton at the 2009 SummerSlam pay-per-view. John Cena forced The Miz to tap out with two minutes left on the clock, and the "Raw" main event was now set with Cena facing Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

"Friday Night SmackDown" rang in a new year with Beat The Clock challengers trying to earn themselves a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker at the 2010 Royal Rumble. In the third nail-biter match, Rey Mysterio was able to beat Chris Jericho with one second left on the clock, making Mysterio the first-ever two-time winner.

This time, "Raw" played host to a different style, focusing heavily on Batista and John Cena's upcoming match at Over The Limit 2010, and the two competed against others to see who would choose the stipulation for their PPV match. Cena gained his second Beat The Clock win, and it was later announced that he and Batista would compete in an "I Quit" match.
